Ligneous Iridescence

the fanlisting for rainbow eucalypts

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Ligneous Iridescence, the TFL-approved fanlisting for the tree almost too beautiful to be real, rainbow eucalyptus! Rainbow eucalypts (Eucalyptus deglupta) -- also know as rainbow gum or Mindanao gum -- are strikingly gorgeous trees native to the Phillipines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea, and are one of just four eucalypt species that don't grow in Australia (although they can be and are grown there, as well as in Hawai'i, and many other places with a sufficiently tropical or subtropical environment). These trees have captured hearts and earned their name due to their extraordinary bark -- as it naturally sheds from the gum, it leaves behind splashes of colour, appearing as if a rogue artist had splashed it lovingly with paints. If you are a fan of these truly lovely trees, please do add your name to the listing!
